R. R. PAUL (ENGLAND) WINS FOILS WOMEN’S TITLE TO MRS M. A. GLEN-HAIG (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 7. Continuing his remarkable sequence of victories, R. R. Paul (England) won the men’s individual foils at the Empire Games fencing A crowd of more than 600 watched the bouts. Unbeaten in seven bouts, the English champion. Mrs M. A. Glen-Haig, won the women’s foil fencing individual title. Miss P. L. Woodroffe (N.Z.) was second with six wins, and Miss C. Pym (Australia) third with five wins. Summarised results are:—Mrs GlenHaig, 7 victories, 0 defeats, 6 "hits against; Miss Woodroffe. 6,1, 10; Miss Pym, 5,2, 17; Miss E. Stokes (Australia), 4,4, 20; Miss O. England Wins Men’s Foil Gaining tfiree well-earned victories, England won the competition for the men’s foil teams.
