SOCIALIST MINISTERS RESIGN CABINET SPLIT OVER WAGES POLICY (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8.30 p.m.) PARIS, February 4. Five Socialist members of the French Cabinet have withdrawn from Mr Georges Bidault’s coalition government. They formally resigned today. Mr Bidault said later that the Government would continue in office. The ' Socialist members’ resignations follow failure by the Cabinet to agree on bonus payments to low ers. Mr Bidault is expected to reshuffle his Cabinet during the weekend. Earlier, the National Assembly agreed to a request by Mr Bidault that it should adjourn its debate on a bill to unfreeze wages and restore collective bargaining between labour and management The Assembly agreed to meet on Tuesday for a general debate cn the policy of the Bidault Government. The Assembly will then vote on a motion of confidence in the Government.
