The Minister of Health (Mr J. T. Watts) will inspect the Dominion Xray and Radium Laboratory at Canterbury University College this morning. He may be accompanied by Dr. Claude Taylor, director of tuberculosis services. The laboratory is administered by the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society. Flying Officer Colin R. Bell, the younger son of Mr and Mrs R. B. Bell, of Remuera. who was severely injured in an aircraft accident in : Southern Rhodesia on January 14, is I making steady progress toward rei covery. Born in Timaru and educated at Christ’s College. Flying Officer Bell, who had served in the Royal New Zealand Air Force in the later stages of the last war. joined the K.A.F. in 1947. After 18 months in England he was transferred a year ago to Heany, near Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia.—(P.A.)
