MR AND MRS J. B. AULD To have seen the Reef ton district grow from the pioneer days has beeh a wonderful experience for Mr and Mrs J. B. Auld, who celebrated their golden wedding last week. Mr and Mrs Auld, who have spent all their lives in Reefton, remember the goldmining boom and the beginning of the coal tiade, with an output of 100 tons of coal a week compared with about 500 tons a day now. For more than 60 years Mr Auld has been associated with the Reefton School of Mines, and for many years he has been president of the institution. For nearly 30 years he has been associated with the Inangahua Hospital Board, of which he is now chairman. One hundred guests from many parts of The West Coast and Nelson districts attended an afternoon party in honour of Mr and Mrs Auld.
