Garden Fete at Opawa.—A successful garden fete arranged by the Christchurch squadron of the Legion of Frontiersmen was held on Saturday afternoon a!, the home of Lieutenant and Mrs N Derret. Fifield terrace. Opawa Tbp lawns and trees made a perfect background. The baby show drew manv entries and set a task of «ome magniUidr for the judges. Dr. H. J Goss-'t an d Miss K. Fox. Among the other attractions were pony rides for children, rnd a fortune teller. The Addington Workshops Rand was in attendance. More than £lOO was raised
