MODEL YACHTING
The concluding heats of the challenge trophy race were sailed on Saturday by the Christchurch Model Yacht Club at Victoria Lake in a medium north-east wind. The club commodore, Mr J. Matthews, supervised the races. Results were' as follows: First Heat.—Moana (F. Jago), 2min, 27min 30sec, 1; Nark (W. Schenkel), 4mm lOsec, 31min 29sec, 2: Whitewings (B. George), scr, 27min 29sec, 3; Phyllis II (V. Thomas), lmin 30sec, 30min 34sec, 4; Valkyrie (A. Trethewey), lmin 30sec, 31 min 36sec, 5. Second Heat.—Moana, 27min 37sec, 1; Nark, 30min 59sec, 2; Mabs (S. Cooper) 2min 20sec, 30min Msec. 3: Magic (W Evans), 3min 50sec, 34min 2sec, 4; Rebin (F. W. Grey), lmin 40sec. 32min 59sec, 5. Points gained were:—Moana, 21 points 1; White wings, 16 points. 2; Valkyrie and Nark, 12 (equal) 3; Phyllis 11, 7 points, 5. The sixteenth heat of the points trop-.y race, sailed in a south-south-west wind resulted as follows:—Bonita (W. Evans) 4min 20sec, 50min 21sec, 1; Nark. 3min Msec. 50min 36sec. 2; Redwings (B George), lmin 40sec, 50min 3sec, 3; Mabs scr. 52min 16sec. 4; Rumbo (F. Jago), 3min 40sec, 62min 24sec, 5.
