SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF DEATH

(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, January 31. The New Delhi correspondent of the Associated Press says that India rededicated herself to the ideals for which Mahatma Gandhi lived on the second anniversary of his assassination yesterday.

Thousands of pilgrims took flowers to the Raj Ghat in Delhi where Gandhi was cremated. Among them were India’s new President (Mr Rajendra Prasad) and the Prime Minister (Pandit Nehru).
