Industrial Hygiene.— lndustrial hygiene work in Christchurch is being discussed by Dr. T. O. Garland, director of the industrial hygiene division of the Department of Health, and Dr. D. P. Kennedy, Medical Inspector of Factories at Christchurch. Dr. Garland said yesterday that* he would prefer not to elaborate on plans until he had had discussions with the new Minister of Health (Mr J. T. Watts) and the new Director-General of Health (Dr. John Cairney). Dr. Garland visited the railway workshops at Addington yesterday, and to-day he will see the waterfront organisation at Lyttelton. He will return to Wellington by air toward the end of the week.
