SHIP SUNK OFF FREMANTLE

ALL OF CREW RESCUED

PERTH, January 30. When under tow off Fremantle, the refrigerated vessel Jarrahdale (200 tons) was swamped and sunk by heavy seas. The four men aboard were picked up by the towing vessel. A night search disclosed floating wreckage. The Jarrahdale, which was a veteran of the river and harbour trade, was op her first trip after being refitted as a freezing vessel. Expensive machinery had been installed so that she could freeze about 10001 b of crayfish an hour to be sent by air to the American markets.
