SUMNER BATHING SHEDS

Sir.—The reply of the Town Clerk to the correspondent who objected to the disgraceful condition of the men’s batning shed at Sumner was very evasive. It nfeeds repairing and painting; and we have a right to expect the council to do something about it. Thousands of pounds have been spent for the benefit of motorists, but no interest is taken in bathers. The money required for repair work would be very small. I hope, too, when the council cjoes decide to do something a notice will be erected forbidding dogs to be allowed in the shed.--Yours, etc., T ne BATHER. January 25, 1950.
