SOUTH CANTERBURY TOURNAMENT
From Our Own Reporter TIMARU, December 28. Fours and pairs play was continued in the South Canterbury .bowling tournament at Timaru to-day. Some games were finished in steady rain, which began about 4 p.m. There are about 80 entries for the singles, which will begin to-mor-row. Results:— Fours.—Semi-finals: B. A. Kelly (Kia Toa), 20, beat P. J. Carleton (Fairlie), 17; C. H. Manning (Timaru), 17. beat J. R. Smith (Christchurch), 7.
Pairs (one semi-final played).—A. S. Mclnnes (Temuka). 18, beat J. Nimmo (Phoenix), 16.
