WALNUT HALL WINS HANDICAP • (New Zealand. Press Association, i GORE,, December 26. The Gore Trotting Club’s annual meeting was held to-day in showery weather which deteriorated during the afternoon. The seventh race was run in a thunderstorm of tropical violence, and the final event was held up for half an hour until* the weather cleared. The track, fast at the start of the meeting, was a sea of mud for the last race. The attendance was a record, and the totalisator handled £37,967, compared with £39,527 last year. On the douoles totalisator (10s) Walnut HaH coupled with Hallstand won the first race, ana Gunsmoke the second, the dividend being £BO 16s 6d. Results:—
