December 23. „J he French Prime Minister (Mr Georges Bidault) last night demanded a vote of confidence in the National Assembly on the coalition Govems Budget proposals for 1950. rhe vote cannot be taken until after midnight to-day, as the Constitution provides that a clear day must elapse between a request for a vote of confidence and the taking of the vote. The Budget proposals have twice .? rejected by the Radical-domin-ated Finance Commission of the Assembly.
