WIDOW OF FISHERMAN
‘ ASSISTANCE FUND OPENED A fund of £3OO to pay off the mortgage remaining on her home at Corsair Bay has been opened by the Seamen’s Union, through .the Lyttelton fishermen, to assist the widow of Mr D. C. Hammond, who was drowned after the trawler Konene had been wrecked outside Akaroa on Wednesday.
