SOME CHARGES INCREASED (New Zealand Press a tsociation ) WELLINGTON. Dec. 23. Because the New Zealand Post Office naa to pay additional conveyance charges as a result of the devaluation of sterling, it had been found necessary to increase certain overseas airmail and parcel post rates, announced the Postmaster-General (Mr W J Broadfoot) to-day. The amended rates, which will become effective .on January 4, apply in general to countries in North, Central, and South America.
