MILK DELIVERIES IN LYTTELTON
COMPLETION BY 11 A.M (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 22. Lyttelton milk vendors must complete their deliveries to consumers by 11 a.m. each day. “This is the substance of the Lyttelton Milk Delivery Notice. 1949, Amendment No. 1, gazetted to-day.” said the Minister of Marketing (Mr K.- J. Holyoake). As a result of complaints concerning milk deliveries in a particular zone in Lyttelton, a public inquiry had been held and it appeared that some customers had been receiving their milk too late in the day, the Minister added. The Lyttelton zoning scheme, therefore, had been altered by an amending notice making the 11 a.m. deadline a condition attaching to vendors being gazetted under the scheme.
