TERRORISTS IN MALAYA

GOVERNMENT PLAN OF EXTERMINATION

(Rec. 12.30 a.m.) SINGAPORE, Dec. 22. All civilian resources in Malaya will be voluntarily mobilised early in 1950 to join with the security forces in an attempt to annihilate the country’s Communist terrorists.

Announcing the scheme, the High Commissioner for Malaya (Sir Henry Gurney) said that certain non-essential Government departments would be closed down to provide extra men for the battle. He that the all-out d/ive against the guerrillas would last for one month.
