NATIONAL COUNCIL OF CHURCHES APPEAL.—This Christmas tree will be on display in the Cathedral porch to-day and to-morrow. It is sponsored by the congregation of the Cathedral in aid of the appeal of the National Council of Churches for help for the refugees of Europe and Palestine. It is hoped that a considerable sum of money will be raised in this way for the appeal. Here, helpers are seen decorating the tree.
