ALLEGED PLOT IN TURKEY
ARRESTED MEN FREED “ INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE TO INCRIMINATE” (Rec. 7 p.m.) ANKARA, Nov. 22. A Parliamentary committee investigating the alleged plot against the President (General Inonu) has found that there is insufficient evidence tn incriminate the three accused members of the National Party. Two of the men were released from prison yesterday. It was reported to-day that the Government intended to withdraw its request for the suspension of Parliamentary immunity from arrest of the third man, General Sadik Aldogan. Last week the Prime Minister’s Office announced the discovery of a plot to assassinate the President and the Leader of the Democrat Party and overthrow the Council of Ministers. French Traitors Shot.— Five Frenchmen who worked with the German intelligence during the occupation of France were shot at. dawn to-day. They were sentenced to death by a courtmartial in May for war crimes, including the torture of prisoners to gain information. —Paris, November 22. The King Goes Shooting.— The King spent a long day shooting injiertfordshire to-day and showed no signs of fatigue. He arrived early in the morning and did not leave until late in the afternoon.—London, November 22.
