CURTAILMENT DENIED BY MISS HOWARD “SOMEONE IS MAKING A MISTAKE” (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 23. “That is not correct and someone is making a mistake,” said the Minister of Health (Miss M. B. Howard) when asked at an election meeting at St. Heliers this evening why the cream ration was being taken from invalids. “Nothing has been done to my knowledge to stop the cream or butter ration given to invalids or aged under a doctor’s certificate.” When a questioner said an official had informed him that his extra ration had been stopped. Miss Howard said she could be expected to know more about it than the official.
