Meteor Seen.— Conflicting reports about the sighting of a bright meteor oyer Paekakariki Hill have been received by the Carter Observatory, Wellington, which wishdS to ascertain whether it appeared at 9.20 p.m. on Tuesday or 9.20 a.m. yesterday. The director (Mr I. L. Thomsen) said it was probable the meteor was seen ever a good portion of the southern half of the North Island and in the northern areas of the South Island.— (P.A.)
