ONLY 50,000 STILL ON STRIKE

(Rec. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, November 13. Five more steel companies have signed agreements with t|ae United Steel Workers’ Union to-day. Fewer than 50,000 of the 514,000 steel workers who struck on October 1 are now idle. Steel industry officials estimated that 8,500,000 net tons of ingot production had been lost through the strike. They also estimated that the value of finished steel production lost was 700,000,000 dollars, and that the steel workers had lost more than 178,000,000 dollars in wages.
