The following alterations to the ordinary train services will' operate:— THURSDAY, 10th NOVEMBER. NORTH LINE: Usual 9.20 p.m. Christ-church-Rangiora (Friday) train Will run. Usual 10.20 p.m. Rangiora-Christchurch (Friday) train will run. LITTLE RIVER LINE: Usual 3.50 p.m. Christchurch-Little River train will NOT run. Usual 5.20 p.m. Christchurch-Little River (Wednesday) train will run. Morning trains from Southbridge. Springfield, Ashburton and Little River will stop, if required, opposite the Addington Snowgrounds to set down passengers, and evening trains for those points will stop thereat, If required, to pick up passengers. FRIDAY, 11th NOVEMBER. NORTH LINE: Usual 9.20 p.m. Christ-church-Rangiora train will NOT run. Usual 6.55 a.m. and 10.20 p.m. RangioraChristchurch trains will NOT run. Usual 3.0 p.m. Christchurch-Belfast Goods train with car will NOT run. Usual 4.38 p.m. Belfast-Christchurch train will NOT run. Train, stopping where required for passengers will leave Rangiora at 8.50 a.m., Kaiapoi 0.10, Belfast 9.21, Addington arrive 9.45, Christchurch arrive 9.50 a.m., and will return leaving Christchurch 5.40 p.m., Addington 5.48 p.m. Usual 4.37 p.m. Christchurcii-Walpara Vain will leave Christchurch 6.5 p.m., Addington 6.12 p.m. SOUTH LINE: Usual 7.25 a.m. Christ-church-Islington train will NOT run. Usual 5.10 p.m. Islington-Christchurch train will NOT run.

Usual 7.10 a.m. Christchurch-Ashburton train will run EARLIER and will leave Christchurch at 7.0 a.m., Addington 7.6, Hornby 7.16, Rollsston 7.44, Dunsandel 8.8, Rakaia 8.28, Ashburton arrive 9.3 a.m. Usual 5.5 p.m. train for Ashburton will leave Christchurch 5.50 p.m., Addington 5.57 p.m. and will connect at Rakaia with bus for Meth ven. Special train will leave Timaru at 7.45 a.m., and will be due Christchurch arrive 11.10 a.m. Return train leaves Christchurch at 5.35 p.m., Addington 5.42 p.m. These trains will stop at Washdyke, Temuka, Winchester, Orari, Rangitata, Ealing, Hinds and Tinwald to pick up passengers for and set down passengers from Addington. SOUTHBRIDGE BRANCH: Usual 4.55 p.m. train for Southbridge will leave Christchurch 6.0 p.m., Addington 6.7 p.m. LITTLE RIVER BRANCH: Usual 3.50 p.m. train for Little River will leave Christchurch 5.45 p.m., Addington 5.51 p.m. SPRINGFIELD LINE: Usual 4.30 p.m. train for Springfield will leave Christchurch 5.55 p.m., Addington 6.1 p.m. Morning trains from Southbridge, Springfield, Ashburton, Little River and Timaru will stop, if required, opposite Addington Showgrounds to set down passengers and evening trains for those points will stop thereat, if required, to pick up passengers. LYTTELTON LINE: Additional trains, stopping where required for passengers, will run as under:—Leave Christchurch for Lyttelton: 9.50 a.m. Leave Lyttelton for Christchurch: 10.30 a.m. Special cheap fares will apply. CHRISTCHURCH PICTON: The 8.25 a.m. Christchurch-Picton and 9.45 a.m. Picton-Christchurch Express trains will run daily (except Sundays) from Wednesday, 21st December, to Monday, 16th January, inclusive. The 7.22 a.m. Christ-church-Waipara Passenger train will run daily during the same period. CHRISTCHURCH - GREYMOUTH-HOKI-TIKA: The 9.50 a.m. Christchurch-Grey-mouth and 10.18 a.m. Greymouth-Christ-church Express trains will run daily (except Sundays) from Saturday, 17th December. to Saturday, 14th January, inclusive.

Additional trains Will run as follows: The 9.5 a.m. Christchurch-Greymouth on 17th, 23rd December, 3rd and 7th January. The 9.30 a.m. Greymouth-Christ-church on 17th December and 3rd and 7th January. 11.30 p.m. Christchurch-Hokitika on 23rd December.

12.15 a.m. Grey mouth-Christchurch or 24th December.

CHRISTCHURCH-DUNEDIN: Commencing on Wednesday, 14th December, and continuing up to and including Wednesday, Ist February, the undermentioned Express trains will run as follows: 9.0 a.m. Christchurch-Dunedin, daily except Sunday. . 8.45 a.m. Dunedin-Christchurch (Monday to Saturday inclusive), runs on 25th December. Additional express trains will run as follows:
