ST. MARY’S FETE

SUCCESSFUL GATHERING

A garden fete held on Saturday afternoon and evening in the grounds of St. Mary’s Convent, Colombo street north, in aid of St, Mary’s School library, was very well attended and very successful.

Among those who attended were many old girls of the school, which was established in Christchurch 55 years ago, and a good gathering of parents of present pupils. Mr Harold Shaw was the organiser of the fete and Mr D. McCormick was chairman ot the management committee. Monsignor J. Kennedy formally opened the party.
