MAN ATTACKED WITH IRON PIPING

(New Zealand Press Association.) AUCKLAND. October 14. As Ronald Addison, aged 29. a billiard marker, was about to enter his room at Havelock street at 11.20 p.m. yesterday a man hit him on the head with a piece of iron piping, inflicting a deep wound. Addison shouted for help and h's assailant ran away. . Robbery was evidently the attacker’s motive, for Addison, as usual, was carrving the dav’s takings from the billiard tables in the sports room where he works. Addison had several stitches inserted in the wound at the Auckland Hosnital and returned home.
