WELLINGTON DISPLEASED WITH DRAW (New Zealand Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 10. “I am a bit disgusted with this draw." said the chairman of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association's management committee (Mr H. K Palmer) when the New Zealand Association's arrangements for this season’s Nunneley Casket and i Wilding Shield fixtures were considered by the committee this evening. Other members also said they were dissatisfied that, though Wellington held both trophies, the first round match in each case was set down for playing on the courts of other associations. Mr J. W. Neale moved that thd commit- I tee acknowledge receipt of the fixtures < and say it was a little concerned that in i neither contest was it given a home game, as it had been stated at the annual meeting that Wellington would be given pre- | ference. The motion lapsed for want of a seconder.
