HANDWORK DISPLAY

GIRLS’ LIFE BRIGADE A fine display of girls’ handwork was shown to good effect by the First Christchurch Battalion of the Girls’ Life Brigade in the Old Art Gallery yesterday afternoon. The Girls’ Life Brigade, which was formed in England in 1902. is one of the oldest uniformed girls' organisations in. the world. In Christchurch there are now about 25 companies, all of which took part in the handwork display.
