SUBSCRIPTIONS TO BE INCREASED
CANTERBURY EMPLOYERS’ ASSOCIATION The Canterbury Employers’ Associa•2 n ' i° s t £207 last year, decided at its annual meeting yesterday to increase its subscription, and the retiring president (Mr W. G. V. Fernie) estimated that the increase would result in an extra £l5OO a year A representative of the Ashburton Hospital Board said that his board belonged to the association “as a courtesy.’’ and really got no service, as the Hospital Boards’ Association handled its business. If its subscription was increased from £6. as at present, to £27 10s under the new scale, the board would have no option but to discontinue membership. Mr Fernie replied that if the present subscription was £6. it would be increased to £8 10s. as only a proportion of the total number of was involved. P B. Witte, and E. R. Cuzens (Timaru). Advisorv committee: Messrs S. G Holland. A. E Kincaid. J. Murphv, C. H. Taylor, and B. E. H. Wbitcombe.
