iHec. 7 p.m.) LONDON. September 5. A heat wave shimmered over most - Europe to-day as many cities re•orted the hottest September day for t century. Londoners sweltered'in a 3mid temperature of 83 degrees, and -eak thunderstorms, some lasting only ! minute and a half, soaked many t-iole. The highest temperature in Paris fes 91 degrees. In Brussels, where the temperature *as 90 degrees, office and factory r orkers organised lunch time bathing The Hague, with 91.4 degrees, had & hottest day this summer.
