RHODES SCHOLAR NOMINEES
—< —. AUCKLAND CANDIDATES (New Zealand Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 6. The Auckland nominations for Rhodes scholarships are Messrs Peter Brian Bficroft, aged 23, and Mervyn Stanley Rosser, aged 22. Mr Becroft left to-day to fill a post as a teaching assistant in philosophy for a year at the University of California under a Fulbright scholarship. Mr Rosser is a science department teacher at the Avondale Technical High School.
