STOCK EXCHANGES MARKETS ACTIVE Markets were active on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Dealings were well spread and price movements were irregular. There was strong inquiry for bank shares, loan and agency, and shipping shares, but in a number of instances margins were wide. Buyers were in evidence in the mining section for Arahuras at 13s, Barrytowns at 15s (sellers 18s), Clutha Rivers Is, Marthas 4s Id (sellers ss), and Snowy Rivers 3s.
