TRAP SHOOTING
♦ BELFAST CLUB
Thirty-five shooters attended the Belfast Gun Club’s monthly meet on the club’s grounds at Chaneys. The weather for the shoot was good. Best shooting for the day was secured by B. H. Sluis. who obtained a possible in every event except the third match, the double rise, in which Sluis and C. J. Inwood were the topscorers with eight breaks each.
In the first match of five targets. B. H. Sluis, C. J. Inwood, N. Inwood. J. S. Simpson, D. Dorreen, F. L. Knowles. E. A. Washbourne. J. Hayes. F. Rouse, and F. W. Inwood shot the possible and divided. Those with one down were C. Brooker. A. Green. A. J. Lancaster, and W. Noble, jun. B. H. Sluis, D. Dorreen, and J. Nicholas broke all targets in the second match of 10 targets. J. Simpson, A. Green, and J. Hayes broke nine. A five-target gim ■ crack comprised the fourth match, and each shooter retired one yard on his handicap for every break. Five breaks were recorded by D. Dorreen. A. W. Fraser. Sluis, A. J. Lancaster, and J. Nicholas. Those with one down were F. Rouse, S. Marston. L. Manion. R. Dobson. N. Inwood. L. Knowles. C. Booker, and T. Everett. The last match, of five targets, was shot off the 16-yard mark C. J. Inwood A W. Fraser. C. Everett. A. J. Lancaster. Sluis. and F. W. Inwood broke all targets L. Knowles. R. Graham, and J. Nicholas broke four targets. Mr R. Chapman was the referee.
