ADDRESS gY DR. R. A. FALLA An address on the notornis was given by Dr. R. A. Falla, Director of the Dominion Museum. Wellington, to the Friends of the Museum Association. last evening. Dr. Falla’s address, which included a description of the valley where the notornis was rediscovered and an account of the habits of the bird, was illustrated with a film' taken on one of the expeditions to the valley. On the whole. Dr. Falla said, he thought the prospects of the bird surviving were fairly good. Stoats had probably not been .in the valley very long and as they could feed on mice and small birds they did not trouble the notornis. The Departmen I of Internal Affairs would keep the area under supervision by small parties of two or three men. he added _.
