ACCIDENTS
MOTOR CYCLE STRIKES KERB RIDER SERIOUSLY INJURED William Lawrence Barry, of 43 London street, while riding a motor-cycle along Linwood avenue on Saturday evening, struck the concrete kerbing on one of the centre plots. He suffered head injuries. The Christchurch Hospital reported last evening that Mr Barry, who had been transferred to Burwood Hospital, was in a serious condition.
MOTOR-CYCLES AND BUSES COLLIDE Two motor-cyclists were admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital on Saturday night alter collisions with buses. L. R. Shore, of 83 Kerrs road, suffered head injuries when his motorcycle collided with a bus at the corner or England and Worcester streets. He was admitted to hospital at 7 p.m on Saturday. His condition was resorted last evening to be satisfactory George Lionel Way, of 20 Christian Street, Bryndwr. also suffered head injuries m a collision with a bus. driven by John Joseph Cannon, of 17 Tower street, Hornby, on the main road about 60 yards west of the Sockburn crossing. His condition is satisfactory. BICYCLE PASSENGER INJURED Miss Doreen Grant, who was being carried on a bicycle ridden by Ravmond Alex Blance, was admitfed to the Christchurch Hospital after a collision with a motor-car driven by Peter Harold Gardner, at the corner of Lichheld and Colombo streets at 12.25 a.m. yesterday. Miss Grant was discharged after treatment.
