RUSSIAN JET FIGHTERS

F.OREIGN OBSERVERS WATCH FLIGHT (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, July 17. The Moscow correspondent of the United Press says that Russia's jet aeroplanes highly impressed foreign observers at the Red Air Force Day parade over Moscow to-day, Because of the terrific speed of the aeroplane*, the observers could not agree on the exact number of new types and Improvements which have been made. One of the jet aeroplanes was flown by Lieutenant-Colonel Anokhim, who is described by “Pravda” aa an ace jetpilot. The newspaper claims that “Lieu-tenant-Colonel Anokhim tests experimental jet models by flying them so fast that they dissolve in the air. He then parachutes to safety.”
