WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the i South Island is as follows: Light to moderate north-easterlies, freshening in exposed places. Weather becoming cloudy. Temperatures moderate.

The weather in Christchurch yesterday Was fine and mild. There was little wind. At midnight the sky was overcast and there was a very light south-west wind. The temperature was 43.8 degrees.
