OBITUARY
MR F. EVANS (New Zealand Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 19. After , a brief illness, the death ocWellington this morning of Mr Frederick Evans, manager in New Zealand of Reuters Economic Services, aged 63 years. Mr Evans was within a few months of having completed 50 years service with Reuters. the . service in Melbourne and before coming to New Zealand in 1940 had for some years been manager of Reuters m Brisbane. Evans w?\. keenl y interested in cricket and athletics, and earlier in bis career had represented Reuters on a JY’nher of important assignments in those fields. He was active as a Rotarian in both Brisbane and WellingHe is survived by his widow and by ms son Lieutenant-Colonel F. R Jvans, of the Australian Army staffi Who is at present in England.
