HEAVY FROSTS IN CANTERBURY

15 DEGREES AT GERALDINE AND FAIRLIE From Our Own Reporter TIMARU, May 23. There were heavy frosts in South Canterbury this morning. Geraidine. 15 degrees, had the heaviest frost of the season by half a degree. Fairlie had 15 degrees, which was one degree below the highest of the season. Temuka had 14 degrees, which was equal to the heaviest to date. At Timaru a frost of 10.2 degrees was recorded. 12.5 Degrees at Rangiora Tnere was a frost of 12.5 degrees at Rangiora yesterday, according to readings taken by Mr G. C. Beattie. This was the heaviest frost recorded at Rangiora this year.
