LIBEL ACTION HEARING DEFERRED
(New Zealand Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 23. Because of the illness of one of the counsel engaged, a claim against the proprietors of the National Party newspaper. “Freedom,” which was to have begun today, will not be heard until the next session of the Supreme Court. The plaintiff is Leslie Edwards, a journalist, who is claiming £3500 damages for an alleged libel.
