DEVELOPMENT OF RONGOTAI
“ORIGINAL INTENTION UNALTERED ” (New Zeaiana Press Association.) WELLINGTON. May 6. Negotiations had ben resumed between the Government and the Wellington City Council about the development of the Rongotai aerodrome, said the Mayor of Wellington (Mr W. Appleton) this evening. The Commissioner of Works (Mr E. P. McKillop), accompanied by Mr F. M. H. Hanson, who has been deputed to co-ordinate the various interests involved. waited on the Mayor and the chairman of the airport committee, and assured them that the committees previously set up in connexion with the undertaking would be set going again, Mr Appleton said he had been assured that the original intention to develop Rongotai as announced to the council, had not been alteied.
