OBITUARY
MR K. J. S. MURCHISON Mr Kenneth James Sinclair Murchison. inspector of reserves for Canterbury University College for the last 10 years, died at his home in Rossall street. Menvale. on Saturday. Mr Murchison was 62. The second son of the late Mr John Murchison, of Lake Coleridge, Mr Murchison was educated at the Normal School and at Christ’s College. He farmed for 12 years at Kirwee, and after that, until his appointment as inspector of reserves, at the Lake Coleridge and Glenthorne stations. He was a member of the Selwyn County Council for nine years, and of the Malvern County Council for nine years. Mr Murchison was president of the Darfield branch of the Farmers’ Union, and for two years was vicepresident of the North Canterbury Farmers’ Union. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Mary Roberta Park, of Blenheim. one son. Mr R. J. S. Murchison, and two daughters. Miss Catherine Murchison, of Christchurch, and Mrs H. G. Hedley, now in England.
