RABBITS
Sir, —I notice the Hurunui Rabbit Board has prohibited the destruction of rabbits, by shooting, hunting with dogs, and trapping, from April 10 to September 3, 1949. After that date it ceases as an inspector board. Now, how are rabbits to be destroyed, seeing that poisoning and fumigating are not always satisfactory? Will ratepayers be then summoned and fined for failing to destroy rabbits?—Yours, etc., FARMER. April 18, 1949. [The secretary of the Hurunui Rabbit Board (Mr Turner Smith) says that, if the correspondent would call at his office or write to the board, his questions will be answered.]
