TO CROSS THE PACIFIC IN YACHT.—The Australian ketch Kurrewa 111, the first boat to finish in last year’s Tasman yacht race, has left Williamstown, Victoria, for Los Angeles, via Auckland. She is to take part in a 2225-mile race from Los Angeles to Honolulu, starting on July 4. This photograph shows the Kurrewa’s skipper and mate with their sisters.
