Mr Acheson Meets Mr Bevin controlin WEST GERMANY

Announcing this, an official communique said that the purpose of the meeting was to have a general exchange of views. and ho decisions were taken,
.The diplomatic correspondent of the New York Times” Says: “It was evidently decided that the Foreign Secret?tles o f the United States, Britain, and France would try to resolve sdme ♦ Y? e^r difficulties over the administration of Western Germany after the opening of the United Nations General Assembly next week. __“Mr Acheson has arranged to see Mr Bevin and Mr Schuman tomorrow.
. , The United States is seeking to establish the principle that the United States, which pays most of the Occupation costs in Germany, should have a uedslve voice on questions on which the three occupying Powers cannot agree. Britain and France are not enthusiastic about this claim. The three nations are also at odds over the luture political organisation of Western Germany.”
