OBITUARY

MR E. V. PAUL (P.A.) , WELLINGTON, March 31. Mr E. V. Paul,, Government printer, died to-day after a brief illness. He was born at the Levels, Timaru, in 1890. He was educated at the Newbury School and Palmerston North High School. Mr Paul joined the Public Service in 1907 in the State Advances Office. After 12 years’ service with that department he was appointed assistant accountant of the Public Trust Office in 1919. After experience in the head office and several branches of'lhat department. he was appointed district accountant at Invercargill. In 1927 he was appointed accountant to the Government printing and stationery department, becoming head of the department 10 years later.
