HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS
ANNUAL MEETING OF ASSOCIATION
The war memorial magazine had been received from the printer, and a copy would be given to the next-of-kin of all old boys who had lost their lives in the * t *^ var >~s a. i <l , Mr D - w - Bain < president of the Christchurch High School Old Boys’ Association, at the annual meeting. Materials were now available and the association had the necessary funds to build the war memorial, said Mr Bain The memorial scroll had been completed and bound; and arrangements had been made for the almost immediate carving of the names.
Mr J. H. Pickles, the retiring president, emphasised the need for old boys to cooperate with the new High School Board of Managers. There was no reason why the board should not be successful he said.
Mr A. E. Caddick, headmaster of Christchurch Boys’ High School, thanked the association for the very real help it had given to the school.
The following officers were elected:— patron, Mr A. E. Caddick: president, Mr D. W. Bain: immediate past president. Mr J. H. Pickles; vice-president. Mr W. J. A. Brittenden; executive, Messrs J. G. Leggatt, J. F. Hadfield. L. Craighead. E. S. Brittenden, C. G. Nicholls. K. R. Gough and H. L. B. Anderson: representatives on High School Board of Managers, Messrs J. H. Pickles and K. R. Gough.
