HELP TO U.N. SOUGHT
REQUEST BY CHINESE WOMAN Mrs Tsiang, the former wife ot Ch’na’s chief delegate to the United Nations, has asked the help of the United Nations to regain her husband. She told the United Nations Human Rights Commission that her former husband. Dr. Tsiang Ting-fu, had obtained a Mexican divorce. She said that when she contested the divorce in the New York Supreme Court in January, her husband had pleaded diplomatic immunity. Mrs Tsiang added: “While my husband is a member of the U.N., and supposediv working for the welfare of humanity, he can in actuality flout all laws of decency and safety abandon his wife and four children. “Surely this cannot be the sum total of the effectiveness of the U.N. —that it shall provide refuge for men who evade their legal and moral responsibilities.” Dr. Tsiang. after his divorce last year, married Miss Ung Chin-shen.
