WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Variable winds. Weather fair to cloudy. Temperatures moderate. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER After a frost of .4 degrees yesterday, the weather in Christchurch was fine arid sunny, but there was a cold easterly wind. The maximum temperature was 60.2 degrees. The sky was almost clear at midnight and there was a light easterly breeze. The temperature was 48.5 degrees. The barometer at 30.177 inches (1021.9 millibars was falling steadily.
