TEST MATCH WON BY AUSTRALIA (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 10 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Jan. 18. Australia won the first women’s cricket test match against England by 186 runs. England faced defeat before lunch, after Australia declared its second innings closed at the overnight score, and took five English wickets this morning. Whiteman impressed by taking four wickets for 33, and catching the English captain (M. Hide).

Australia, in its second innings, made 173 for five wickets declared. England, in its second innings, made 128 (Hide 30, Duggan 24; Wb’teman took four wickets for 33. Wilson three for 39, Craddock i two for 22).
