Former Egyptian Army Chief Ar-rested.—Field-Marshal Aziz el Masry Pasha, pre-war chief of the Egyptian Army General Staff, was arrested at his home last night, with two companions. A police search of his house is said to have revealed documents of an incriminatory nature. During the war the field-marshal was arrested at a Cairo aerodrome and accused of attempting to escape into Axis territory.—Cairo, January 16.
